Vivid Sydney 2026 returns from 22 May to 13 June, transforming the city into a glowing celebration of light, music, ideas, and food. Over 23 nights, Sydney’s iconic buildings, streets, and harbour will come alive with creative installations, live performances, and inspiring talks.

This award-winning festival is one of the largest multi-artform events in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting millions of visitors from around the world. From immersive light shows to thought-provoking panels and delicious pop-up dining, Vivid Sydney offers something for everyone.

What to Expect

This year debuts Vivid Minds, offering immersive experiences and visual art, plus the Creative Trailblazers series with global leaders like Sean Baker, Chloé Zhao, Jerry Saltz, Roxane Gay, and Zane Lowe. Enjoy iconic music venue takeovers and 23 nights of free performances at Tumbalong.
Food is a highlight, with Yotam Ottolenghi presenting A Shared Table and the Vivid Fire Kitchen’s new home at Barangaroo Reserve. The Lighting of the Sails at the Sydney Opera House features original artwork by French artist Yann Ngeuma.
